Exploration, New blood.

A small scout ship cruised through unexplored space, Scanning and mapping all the way. They passed by a nearby planet, Scanning it with several scanners. The person at the scanner was a human female, She had black, Curly hair, And soft brown eyes. Her form was mildly disappointing for a woman as she had small breasts and a slightly flat butt, Along with shallow curves. She said in a soft, Bored tone, "This seems to be another ice planet... No determinable energy readings, No real Life sign scans... But there is a lot of interference from the star. " The other person at the helm was a more female looking woman. Her hair was straight and down to her mid back. It was a bright, Platinum blond. She had a decent bust to her and a more curvy form. She says to her crew mate, "I'll go to the dark side of the planet. Maybe it'll block the interference." She seemed just as bored as her crew mate.

A dark room was barely lit with the luminescence coming from the holo panels mounted in the corner. The room looked more like a cave than anything else. Opposite of it a humanoid lay sprawled face-down across a bunk, half of him on the floor, half on the bunk and pillow. Next to the bunk was a small metal night stand and a large oval container on top of it, overturned and threatening to fall off the edge. A green neon colored liquid was slowly dripping out of it. The humanoid's skin was a light red-brown color, interrupted occasionally by dark purple oval swatches of varying sizes. His head was covered with jutting sporadic scales, angled slightly backward. The dead silence of the room was interrupted by the holo panel's loud beeping noise. The color of the light permeating the room was now red. Snapped from his sleep (or unconsciousness) the creature snapped to attention, knocking over the oval cylinder spilling more green liquid over the floor. Getting to his feet, the humanoid staggered toward the holo panel, barely managing not to slip. He sat down in front of it and monitored the movement of a small unidentified vessel.

The woman at the helm, Curved the ship around the planet slowly putting it between them and the star of the system. She says softly, "Dark side of the planet... Scan now." And the other woman scans with her multi-spectral scanner. "We have a small blip here actually... Its faint, But there... Wanna investigate?" And The woman at the controls thinks a bit, "Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt would it?" And the other shrugs. "Well, I'll send a subspace com to earth." And she pushes a few buttons before holding her thumb up and the woman at the controls sighs saying, "Please put your trays in there upright and locked position, And buckle your seat belts." And they pull on there X shaped restraints as the ship descends slowly into the atmosphere towards the faint power signature. The woman on the controls says to the other, "Remember to send a hailing while we do this, Just in case they think we're going to be hostile." And The other woman says, "Bet you $5 we won't find anything here but Ice, Snow, And a whole lot of nothing." And the one at the controls says, "You're on, Woman!" At this point they burst through the cloud layer of the atmosphere to orbit the area a bit looking for a place to land.

The red skinned creature closed its two eyes and the one on his forehead popped open, scanning holo projection of the inbound ship rapidly. He scratched the brown cloth covering the lower part of his face up to his nose with his long fingernail. Proceeding to punch out a few commands on the control panel, an image appeared in the corner of the holo. They looked alike, apart from the third eye on his forehead, as this person had only two.
Three eyes: Mff'n cth arin.
Two eyes: Rag'h m' frwwh?
Three eyes: Meg.
He sluggishly got up from the holo console and stretched his hands above his head, moving his torso left and right with a loud crackling sound. As he finished stretching, what looked like a piece of garment now rose up behind him, fluttering around. Leathery black tendrils were spread from his back, swaying back and forth as if he was underwater. He crept through tunnels that were smooth and looked carved out of a mountainside. With a few well rehearsed turns he was now standing at the mouth of a small cavern covered in ice. His tendrils fluttered more rapidly due to the strong cold wind that was blowing, but he did not seem phased by it at all. He engaged his third eye, looking upward. The eye quickly closed and he started walking towards the spot where he predicted the small craft would land.

The Recon ship was long in shape and pointed at the nose. Its twin engines on the wings along with a third at the nose engaged as it descended toward the ground. They took a sample of the atmosphere and established that it was breathable. They got on tight suits and masks before opening the airlock door at the back. "Test, Com test. Hear me?" says the blond and the black haired woman holds up a thumb saying, "Bit fuzzy, But I can hear ya." And the blond nodded as the inner door closed and the outer door opened with an abrupt gust of cold wind. The suit was temperature controlled to a small degree. The black haired woman shivered a bit saying, "Sheesh this planet sure is COLD." And the blond says softly, "You aren't going to win. I'm sure theirs something here. Even if its a trashed ship... Salvage would be just as good as people." They both stepped down a small staircase to the surface and looked around. The black haired woman held a small scanner in her hand and scanned around. "Looks like a whole lot of NOTHING so far..." There was a mild whiteout from the ice and snow so they couldn't see more then about 10 feet out. Eventually, The blond woman points to a small Silhouette in the distance saying, "Whats that?"

The creature moved steadily forward. His tendrils flowing and fluttering behind him, swept to the side by the occasional heavier burst of wind. He pulled up the cloth covering his face a bit. Two figures could now be clearly seen in front of him. Clad in suits they stopped moving and held in front of them a scanning device. They were now only a few feet apart and nothing was happening. A full minute passed until the creature tapped at the side of his eye and the two just looked at each other slightly confused.

The woman with black hair, Looked at the other scanning him several times before the blond saying over coms, "You owe me $5..." And the woman with black hair grumbled a little bit to herself before they held up a finger, scanning him again to make sure what he was. The blond slowly took her mask off, Saying to the other, "Hello, My name is Sarah, We represent the Earth republic. Can you understand me?" And the woman with black hair says, "What are you doing?! You could catch some unknown virus! Or some parasite!" but the other couldn't hear her because the com was in the mask piece.

The creature squinted for a bit trying to catch what the blond was saying. He cleared his throat a bit. He closed his eyes and his third eye sprung open, focusing on the blonde's eyes, rapidly shifting from the left one to the right. The creatures tendrils were fluttering rapidly. After only a few moments the creature cleared his throat, touching it with his right hand. His eyes slowly opened and his third eye shut. The creature produced a few inarticulate sounds and cleared his throat again. He started speaking very slowly, having trouble forming the words.
Three eyes: I can, now. Greetings one called Sarah. This one...
He shakes his head left and right a bit.
Three eyes: My name is Er'eb Na 'Gwfan R'ly. Or in your tongue the Chaotic one. You can simply refer to me as Chaotic.
He extends his two fingers to his chin and makes a small bow, lowering his hand down.

Sarah steps back as the other does this, Her right leg sliding back a bit and she strikes a slightly alerted combat stance briefly before the other spoke. She smiled and mimicked his bow saying, "It is a pleasure to meet you." The other woman slowly took her helmet off too, She held her breath a bit before gasping and saying, "Great... Sweet baby Xalin on ice it is COLD out here!" And her curly hair blew around like a big puff ball. Her suit did not make her look very female like, as she looked more like a man in her suit until she removed her helmet. She says to Chaotic, "My name is Lisa. We are from Recon division 4, Earth Republic exploration team." And Sarah says, "So, Are there any city's or cultures on this planet? Its so we can properly label this world as inhabited or uninhabited. A lot of others usually test weapons on uninhabited planets, So its best if you be honest. And we are in no way implying a threat, Just so that we're clear." And Lisa says rubbing the bridge of her nose slowly, "You really suck at first contacts..."

The creature stared at Lisa for a moment, not sure what to think of her. He shifts his weight from one leg to the other. The wind started picking up, blowing his tendrils completely sideways.
"The weather is about to get much worse, so if you would like to stay longer you are welcome to."
Chaotic gestures in the direction he came from.
"We do not get a lot of visitors here as you can imagine. We also try to hide ourselves to the best of our abilities"
Chaotic crossed his arms on his chest, continuing to examine both of the women.

Sarah followed first, Lisa followed close behind Sarah, Closing the ship by remote and setting it to lock down mode, The deployable feet on it planting thick claw-like spikes into the ground. Sarah continued to converse with Chaotic, " Well, We can mark it as an untouchable planet if you like. That deters most government actions, But enough about that... Tell me about your culture, If you would be so kind." And she looks around at the barran, Icy world they had just landed on.

Chaotic took the lead. Despite the very short visibility, he knew exactly where they were and in which direction they were going. He turned halfway to Sarah.
"You are very brave to have come here i have to say. Even more so for following someone of a species you just met. Don't know which aspect of your race that speaks of more. Bravery or ... "
A huge gust of wind made the rest of the sentence fade into the thick fog.
"Do what you like with the information you gather here. It might not look like it, but we have excellent shielding and scrambling techniques. Your vessel came at a most unfortunate moment. We were in the middle of re calibrations."
Chaotic shields his eyes with his hand for a moment and presses on. The vague shape of a small mountainside could be seen.

Sarah says over the wind, "Well, As a Recon, If we die, Our family's are payed very well! As it would pain me to not see my children, At least they would be set for life...!" and Lisa says over the wind sharply, in a bit of a squeak of a voice, "I don't wanna die!"

The party of three reached the mountainside and Chaotic lead them into the cavern opening. As they passed the entrance, they were showered in purple light. Chaotic turns.
"Do not worry it is just a foreign material scanner. Some things out there, we like to keep out."
The mouth of the cavern looked natural but as they progressed there was artificial illumination but the source of it was indistinguishable. At this point it became very warm around them. The walls were carved out by an energy tool of sorts but the surface was lumpy and smooth to the touch. The tunnels often broke off in different directions but the band moved straight on. Soon the emerged in a vast spherical cavern, with an elevator in the middle and things that looked like dwellings along the walls. They were approached by another of the species.
"This is Umark lr' Vamir, you may call him Vamir."
Vamir bows to the new guests and approaches Chaotic.
"Orag mar sf' Illior"
Chaotic takes Vamir by the shoulders and closes his eyes, as his third eye opens. Vamir stood there like mezmerized for a moment and when Chaotic let him go reeled a little. Clearing his throat Vamir started:
"Welcome, Sarah and Lisa of Earth. My name is Vamir."
Vamir puts two fingers to his chin and takes a small bow, returning his hand to his side, just like Chaotic did earler.
Chaotic turned to Sarah.
Vamir will show you around for a little bit while i go and transfer your language patterns into our matrix.
Chaotic saluted Vamir and Vanished into a nearby corridor.
"So, what would you like to know?"

They stayed calm through most of it. Sarah bowed to the other in the same mimicking way, before asking softly, "I hope that I'm doing this in a respectful way..." And Lisa says softly, "Last time you did the mimicry, A Xalin knocked you clean across a room... " Sarah shrugged her statement off. "Well you see, A lot of these questions are more for personal reasons. I enjoy partaking in others cultures and such." And Lisa looked around at some of the Technology. She was drawn in like a moth to a flame, Observing the holo screens and looking at the emitters and consoles. "Hmm... Oddly close to Zenum technology, Although ..." She continued to mumble to herself.

Vamir gestured all around them.
"We have notified everyone of you presence. You are free to roam around if you like."
He observes Lisa for a moment, stroking his chin thoughtfully. Unlike Chaotic he had only two eyes and his face showed the unkind marks of time. When he spoke and curled up the corner of his lip you could sometimes see the flash of a fang.
"This is just the residential part of the Vestige complex. If our technology intrigues you, i can show you to some of the lower levels. We deal mostly in bio-engineering. Chaotic is our lead implant expert. That third eye is his pride and joy, but perhaps you should ask him yourself when he returns."
Vamir walks over to the large circular elevator platform in the middle of the cavern. His tendrils spread behind him gracefully.
"The labs are on the lower levels. We can go now or if you wish we can wait for Chaotic to return, he should not take much longer."

Lisa glanced up getting a few scans and saying, "Bio-engineering huh?" she slowly went to follow him like a puppy. Sarah however did not and asked softly, "I would actually prefer to observe your kind, If you would let me. Also, I would love to sample some of your food seeing as you probably don't have any nasty food pills. " And she holds out a cuple pill shaped tablets in pink, blue and green. "Looks tasty doesn't it? Seeing as we have to live on this for years at a time... I hope you don't mind us imposing..." And Lisa shakes her head with a huge smile on her face, Rubbing her nose. "Sheesh you are going to start a war one day, You know that right?" Lisa says in a 'please quit while your ahead' voice to Sarah who glares back at Lisa.

Vamir turns to the console of the elevator and keys in a few commands. The elevator platform lit up and with a slight hiss elevates slightly. Chaotic emerges from a different tunnel than the one he left earlier, coming behind the group.
"So, how are our guests doing?"
Vamir followed that up with a deep chuckle.
"Well Lisa is keen to see the bio labs, and Sarah would like some sustenance. But i imagine they can speak their own minds."
Chaotic turns to Lisa.
"If you wish, we can go down below. The bio labs are on the seventh level."

Lisa smiles a bit, Still slightly unnerved by them, But she says, "Well I wanted to be an alien research scientist but, I wasn't able to. " And Sarah smirks before saying, "Well... Bio research sounds fun and all, But I think you should be well to get yourself some grub." And Lisa says, "Say food. You know aliens don't understand our versions of slang. " And Sarah strikes a slight huffy girl pose with her hand on her hip as she waits saying, "I was talking to you Lisa, And I'm sure they understand that from context alone." And Lisa says, "Have you know, I don't eat grubs."

Chaotic passes by Vamir, powering down the elevator.
"So, you wish to eat. Excellent. And just at the right time too."
Chaotic glances up at the cavern ceiling where colorful patterns were slowly aligning. As the colors fused together, a soft melody echoed throughout the cavern. The whole place suddenly came alive. People were exiting the dwellings carved into the sides of the cavern, shuffling in and out of various tunnels. Some passed by the newcomers, looking at them with curiosity, and greeting Vamir. He would always return the greeting.
"Chaotic, i am sorry but it is time for me to return to my duties. Make sure our guests are well taken care of."
He ended that with a commanding tone, giving Chaotic a slightly scornful look.
"As you wish."
As Vamir walked away, Chaotic turned his attention to the humans.
"We have preserved most of the plant and small animal life that once dwelled on the surface. We have large subterranean eco domes where we grow the food and breed the animals. We also make more compact foodstuffs for our explorers but that does not happen very often."
Chaotic takes a slight bow and extends his arm toward a larger tunnel now slightly crowded with moving bodies.
